The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) is celebrating its 200th anniversary and in turn, is celebrating the role civil engineers play in transforming lives and safeguarding futures.

Invisible Superheroes is a year-long and free-to-attend exhibition in London at ICE's One Great George Street headquarters. It focuses on the unsung heroes behind some of the world’s most amazing engineering projects.

Using inspiring state-of-the-art technology, the exhibition brings to life the best examples of civil engineering. The unique comic book look will help inspire the next generation of engineers and create a memorable experience for everyone who visits.

Smart infrastructure

Learn how civil engineers are using smart technology to meet the needs of an ever growing, urbanising population. Cities around the world must become more energy efficient and forward-looking engineers are vital to enable sustainable growth.

Environmental impact
Universal access to clean water and combating the effects of climate change around the world are key issues civil engineers have to face head on. This exhibition zone will explore the scale and response to fundamental challenges like providing billions of people with drinking water.

Connected communities
Everytime we take a journey, whether going to work, visiting friends and family or to explore new places, civil engineers helped build the roads, railways and airports that get us there. Discover how ever more communities around the world are getting connected.

At the exhibition you can:
